UPDATE:
On January 8, 2026 HUD released a notice that per the court order, they would reopen the FY24-25 NOFO that allowed for renewals of projects funded in FY24 without reapplication or a competition process. HUD said this would be open as of January 9, 2026 and close February 9, 2026.
If you have a project ending in 2026 funded by the Supplemental NOFO/Rural Set Aside or the Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project (YHDP) you will need to submit an application in eSnaps.
These are due by 5pm 1/28/2026.
Other renewal projects are not required to submit an application as of the last available notice from HUD. These applications enable HUD to do the process of renewing funding, they will not make awards at this time-- not likely until the court has a final ruling or instructs them to do so.
HUD has noted that if the final court ruling is in their favor, they will reopen the NOFO they released on December 19, 2025.
